New Product Alert! Amla Berry

Amla Berry Powder   Certified Organic

There seems to be a lot of research going on over this berry from India.  It is also called Indian Gooseberry. Below is a brief conclusion of recent studies going on over at  PMC or NIH.gov. ( They are liking this berry!!)

Here is a condensed version of the recents study results from PMC PubMed Central:

Amla Berry's rich phytochemistry, particularly its polyphenols, suggests potential health benefits. Scientific evidence indicates its strong antioxidant properties, working through direct inhibition of oxidative reactions and induction of the body's antioxidant defenses. Current evidence also suggests amla components may support health by improving antioxidant status in smokers and protecting the digestive tract, and may help regulate serum glucose and insulin levels.

Further research, especially in animal and human studies, is needed to strengthen this evidence. Future studies should clarify the bioaccessibility of its bioactive compounds, interaction with gut microbiota, and explore methods for incorporating it into functional foods.
More studies are going on to see the affects on Alzheimer's and Diabetes.
